Compensation: $82,500 to $91,450 Annually

The Office of the Special Commissioner of Investigation for the New York City School District (“SCI”) is seeking an experienced, self-motivated candidate to serve as a Confidential Investigative Auditor to both lead and support complex financial audits and investigations. The successful candidate will work on highly confidential and sensitive investigations concerning corruption, criminal activity, unethical conduct, and other misconduct within the New York City School System. The Investigative Auditor will be required to examine/analyze records and documents including procurement contracts, banking and financial records, records of capital commitments and agreements, and other city-wide policies and financial documents. The Investigative Auditor will maintain confidential case records, prepare reports and briefs, and analyze specific data gathered as a result of investigations by this Office.

THOSE HIRED BY SCI ARE DOE SALARIED EMPLOYEES AND NYC RESIDENCY IS NOT REQUIRED.

HYBRID OFFICE / REMOTE WORK SCHEDULE AVAILABLE AFTER INITIAL TRAINING PERIOD.

APPROVED CANDIDATE MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TUITION FORGIVENESS.
