Compensation: $195,000 to $250,000 Annually
Position Summary:
Legislative and regulatory analysis, balance and successfully manage competing priorities.
- Draft legislation and regulatory amendments according to the agenda set forth by the LICONY President & CEO
- Analyze new legislation and regulations for its impact on companies, and solicit feedback from members as needed or required
- Draft memos in support or opposition to legislative proposals
- Drive consensus among membership on key issues
- Represent LICONY and its member companies at meetings with the Department of Financial Services, legislators and executive chamber staff
- Provide advice and guidance to member companies on specific regulatory issues
- Legislative and regulatory advocacy/lobbying as directed by CEO and Board
- Organize annual tax conference and assist in planning annual compliance seminar and annual conference
Experience:
10+ years regulatory, legislative or lobbying experience. Legal and legislative writing ability. Manage complex issues for desired outcomes and solutions. Ability to articulate, advocate, and positively influence complex industry issues. Precise, compelling, and astute interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
