Chief Executive Officer

Long established New York area child welfare and educational agency is in search of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO is responsible for the entire range of agency programs and activities, and for the delivery of services in keeping with the agency’s mission and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record overseeing residential, educational, and multi-faceted treatment programs. They will also have the strategic ability to imagine and implement dynamic transformations within the agency to keep it competitive in a changing, Covid and post-Covid world. The position answers directly to an engaged Board of Directors and requires an aptitude for and participation in fundraising.

Prerequisites include a minimum of a masters degree in social work, education, or a related field, and a doctorate is a plus. In addition, a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in child welfare in government or non-profit agencies, including supervisory experience and executive level experience are also desirable attributes.
