Our firm is a leading New York State law firm that is looking for a motivated, hardworking and strategic-minded individual to join our outstanding government relations team as a manager. The ideal candidate will be an experienced city or state lobbyist or a senior government staffer with a proven level of success in dealing with complex public policy issues. Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of government and the legislative process, and have a demonstrated ability to interact positively with clients and elected officials. A BS or BA degree and at least 5 years of experience in government relations / public policy are required. Resumes will be kept strictly confidential. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to varied aspects of campaign planning and execution

• Help develop campaign goals, plans, strategies, and tactics to achieve outcomes on specific issue areas

• Engage in legislative campaigns, electoral campaigns, administrative campaigns,

• Utilize a wide variety of campaign tactics and tools

• Successfully employ constituent and/or voter targeting, developing advertisements (TV, radio, print), polling, and developing creative campaign tactics for earned media or other purposes • In conjunction with Director-level staff or a Senior Campaign Strategist, retain and manage consultants

• Help facilitate on-the-ground meetings, planning, and campaign events in priority jurisdictions, as needed

• Commitment to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and/or conflicts

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with issue advocacy and/or electoral campaigning at the federal, state, or local levels, including campaign management experience

• Substantial experience designing campaign strategy and executing campaign plans and tactics

• Ability to work largely independently as well as within a team

• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills

• Familiarity building, leading and working within coalitions

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously handle many tasks; work efficiently, meeting multiple deadlines, while remaining composed under pressure

• Experience doing advocacy on both issue campaigns and electoral campaigns, a plus

• Experience doing legislative and administrative advocacy, a plus

• Experience doing grassroots organizing, a plus

• Comfort with policy, including an ability to efficiently and effectively weave policy objectives into campaign execution

• Willingness to travel as needed
